C.A.L.E.B. [part of a series on assistants]
C.A.L.E.B. (refered onwards as Caleb because im lazy) is one of 3 algorthims/ais that power certain parts of my life.
Caleb powers my iphones action button. it does this by using the fact that i am a person with a routine that i rarely break from
this allows it to work with no menus, it keeps the action button as a quick button that does what it needs to do. instead of click and search through 400 menus.
right now its almost perfect with just one problem, optimisation. it takes about 5-10 seconds to trigger for some actions right now. im looking into optimising it but theres only so much i can do
speaking of actions, it can do quite a few:
- sleep timer
- toggle on my bedroom light
- toggle my phone torch
- toggle do not disturb
huh i thought it could do more lol
anyway it does this by using context like, altitude, location, time of day, phone orientation and charge state
its one of the projects im most proud of, which is rare because i dont often feel pride for my works.
this was much shorter than i expected...
